Parenting After an Unexpected Outcome of Pregnancy:  Grief, Loss, Spirituality and Finding Meaning

Seldom do people consider that children's behaviors originate in the prenatal period, that parenting begins long before an infant is born.  This course, is designed for family educators, social workers, health care providers and other professionals working with young families.  It provides a historical overview of the concept of prenatal attachment and infant loss while addressing how the developmental tasks of pregnancy, parenting and family life change after an unexpected outcome.  For full details, see the University of Minnesota's Center for Early Education and Development (CEED).
